On 7 and 8 November at the Law School of UFPR in Curitiba X CODAIP will be accomplished, which this year will have as its theme “Copyright in perspective: the awakening of the public interest”.

A tribute to Prof. Denis Borges Barbosa will be held for his work and the unquestionable relevance of his production, deeply regretting his loss.

During the event, there will be presentations of work in Study Groups Workshops, Copyright workshops and panels with national and foreign speakers.

11h – Tribute to Professor Denis Borges Barbosa

Prof. Denis Borges Barbosa, born in 1948, national and internacionally consacrated jurist, with a commendable academic production of more than fifty books and ninety published articles, two hundred lectures given, whose production is largely devoted to the study of intellectual property, he taught in prominent institutions leading numerous works of undergraduate and graduate programs, also taking part in activities promoted by GEDAI, lectures and courses. A small homage to Prof. Denis in the tenth edition of CODAIP is due to the undeniable relevance of his work for the development of studies on intellectual property, his unique academic generosity and his friendship will be celebrated, once the academic community has lost one of its great references.
